Comcast is out at home. Cable, Internet, Phone – kaput.
According to the nice customer service people, there is a 53% outage that no one has defined as an outage yet.

Thank goodness for working at an office some days.
Allows me to feed my evil internet addiction.

Goat Work – The fabulous, wonderful jump rope
Best: 15 d-d-d
Got a couple 6s, and many 2s and 3s. At least I can now get the jumprope under me a few times.

Cleans – 1x per minute. I did it over 7 minutes.
1st 5 at 65#
last 2 at 75#
These felt really good and, dare I say, light.

Oly Class #8
Snatch work

Did my warmup at 12#, then 45#.
Warmed up too heavy, because I was then beat for the actual snatches.

Got a successful full, decent form snatch at 55#. A good hang power snatch at 60#.

Stuff I learned:
– Warming up close to your actual working weight = not such a good idea.

– In the deadlifts and cleans from earlier, I finally figured out what Jon meant by keeping the bar closer to the legs

– “Mind like water” = I’m guessing Jon meant like a tranquil pond, and not Class 5 rapids.

– I have a lot of work to do, but I am a lot more comfortable squatting quickly with heavy weight than I was 2 weeks ago.
