WOD 5:30am – Wendler DL, Cleans, More Deadlifts, Ring Dips, Box Jumps and Decorating

A good, if punchy day at the box.

The 95# cleans felt really solid. So much so, I spent the last set working on speed and form. Wondering if I should attempt a WOD at this weight….

6 Deadlifts (125)
9 ring dips (red band 1st 2 rounds, red + orange the last round – these just didn’t test well this morning)
12 very slow 20″ box jumps (not feeling springy….felt this during the redline)

Been experimenting with pre-workout nutrition. One problem – waking at 4:30am and having a stomach that tends to rebel against food until I’ve been up for an hour makes this tricky.
I’ve even tried bananas and they didn’t sit well during the 0530 workout.

Test 1 (Wed) – Coconut water. Worked great. Felt reasonably energetic during the workout.
Test 2 (today) – Chocolate nutrition shake. Too thick. Ugh.

This is not going to be easy.
