NoVa Open Week 1 – Competition Day

AMRAP 10 Minutes
30 double-unders
15 power snatches at 55#

Goal: 3 rounds
Got: 3 rounds + 9 double-unders

PCF folks – I love you guys! Thank you for the cheering and support. Much more excited and less nervous for the next few weeks.
Sleep: 9:00pm – 7:45am. Slept lightly between 2:45am and 4:45am. Though I slept sounder than anticipated. Hooray evening baths! Nap between 3:00pm – 4:30pm.
Stress: High. Nervous wreck. Attempts not to be failing. Had a great time. Happy week 1 is over.
Fish Oil: 4 caps

Breakfast: tea with maple, eggs and spinach with black truffle oil

Competition: baby carrots, coconut water, beef jerky, water

Lunch: tuna salad, a couple dates, a Bud Light (delicious)

Dinner: corned beef, cabbage, carrots, riesling, water

Dessert: 2 scoop hot fudge sundae, water

Glad I got through the first one. Nerves did a number on my appetite. Got some baby arrots down an hour before the WOD, which helped.
Kept everything slow and steady – but that 55# bar got very heavy very fast. That went slower than I would have hoped.
Double-unders generally went better than expected. Most rounds, managed to get some rhythm once I got started.

Rest of day – very lazy.

    Nice job! I got 3 rounds 12 DU, so we are pretty much the same. For me the Double Unders were brutal. I couldn’t get a rhythm at all. So, good for you. All your hard work paid off in the end.

    I am also glad week one is over. I concidered giving it another try this week, but decided that once is enough of that torture fest.

    I am proud of you for getting through this one. It was a toughie!

    • I had targeted 3, got 3 then some. I was proud of myself that I didn’t allow myself to get frustrated when I couldn’t get rhythm. Figured even if I managed to get double-unders in sets of 1 or 2, that would work.

      You are a brave person to even consider doing that again 🙂 Nice work Dorothy.

      Looking forward to whenever Week 2 happens….
