Oly/Gymnastics Project – Month 2, Week 1, Day 1


Hoping that 2 days off doing nothing more strenuous than assembling an office chair has done me some good.

Plus first day at Patriot for all workouts.
Holy moly it was crowded….

3 35# ohs
3 35# good mornings
3 strict pullups

It was so crowded, and there was so little wall space, that I bagged the handstand pushup work scheduled for today.
I will need to get any gymnastics activity in before the warmup if I am going to have a fighting chance of getting the gymnastics stuff in.

Power Clean Push Jerk
35(3 – split) – 65 (3-split) – 85(3-3-3-3)

Back Squat
85(5) – 105(5) – 125(5) – 115(5-5)
Did 5 reps of back squat at 125# before I realized I was 10# over where I was supposed to be that week. Those reps felt solid, and difficult. Made the 115# feel much lighter.

Overall – felt pretty good after the workout. Will see how the day progresses.
