Oly/Gymnastics Project – Month 2, Week 2, Day 2


A few FAQs
– I won’t be participating in Sectionals this year. Recuperating from Mono. Don’t worry – unless you drink out of my water bottle I’m not contagious. I will say – getting worn out while jump roping is a real ego-killer.
– I hope to start adding a MetCon a week to my plan in March. Barring any setbacks (see above).
– This project will go for a couple more months. Strength = good. If I can manage a muscle up in this time, even better 🙂

redline system check (ok)

5 rounds
3 handstand pushups (last round, last HSPU kipping. Rest with ab mat. I need to get away from that thing)
3 35# power snatch
3 35# overhead squat

Power Snatch
55(2) – 75(2-2-2-2-2)
Note: The jump from 55 to 75 is a bit too large. Took me a couple of sets to get comfortable.

Overhead Squat
55(5) – 80(5-5-5)
This felt OK. Starting to get my strength back on these.

GHD / Reverse Hypers not done. WAY too many individual groups in the back of the gym fighting for equipment and space.
